As I write this in the middle of the night (12:02 AM, is what I see on the clock), there are myriad thoughts that cross my mind. The world is in the midst of an unprecedented crisis with COVID-19 (Coronovirus) – a crisis of unprecedented proportions.
“These are difficult times and difficult times creates opportunities”.
I have been thinking of doing this for a long long time. I have been stricken by the same challenge all of us face – procrastination, lack of confidence and in my case, more of laziness and not taking the initiative.
I am 40+, like to call myself young, but growing white hair reminds me every step of the turn what I already know – time is not in my favour. I first dabbled in investing or rather buying or selling shares, some 13 years ago. This despite the fact that I knew that I was
- Good at Maths
- Excellent with Finance
- Had the right attitude and patience for an investor
Why am I talking about all this? Because of a few fundamental realisation. But before that, who am I?
- I am SK.
- I have 2 kids
- I have a wife
- I am an Engineer and an MBA with an IT background
- I love maths and have sound analytical and logical reasoning
- I am calm, composed and patient and can most often taken rationale decisions (remember, most often).
And this is a beginning.
